Disney World - For Realsies

I've been meaning to post about this so that you can all share in the euphoria.

Remember the blog post in which I discussed mine and Eric's plan to eventually go to Disneyland, just the two of us, when it was monetarily feasible? Well, that time has come, my friends! And we've upped the ante: Disney World!

Why Disney World over Disneyland? Well, the simplest way to put this is: Together, Disneyland and California Adventure are 300 acres; Disney World is over 30,000 acres.

It is literally 100 times bigger!

The plane tickets, resort reservation, dinner reservations, and other miscellaneous activity reservations are all booked, and we'll be off on our adventure in 40 days!

I've been counting down since day 184, the day we made the resort reservation. Who am I kidding, I've been counting down for years! The fact that it is only 40 days away has me giddy as a school girl.

Seriously, we are set. We have been researching this for months. We've scoured the internet and even bought an 864-page 2013 Disney World guidebook, the majority of which has been read through. So when Disney plebeians think they know stuff and make comments to us like, "did you know there are four different parks", or "you can't possibly spend that many days at just Disney World", we're all:

Yes, I'm a Disney snob. Get over it.

We'll be going for October 5th - 12th, which includes our third wedding anniversary, October 9th. We'll be staying at the Grand Floridian.

We'll be taking part in a plethora of activities besides just the four parks and two water parks, but I think I'll save telling you about all of that until we've returned from Disney World.

Honestly, though, the thing I am most excited for at this point is going to the airport with my lovingest love (Eric) and having the anticipation build until we get to Disney World.

  1. I am not anonymous- I am however, cheesed off that this thing doesn't know how to let me comment! This girl from Brave could be you!!!!I expect tons of pictures and a day by day hour by hour color commentary on this trip with all of your thoughts and feeling documented!!!

  2. Jealous!!! We want to go to Disneyworld once Paxton and the new baby are a bit older. Definitely the way to go since it's so much bigger :D Hope you have lots of fun and can't wait to hear about it!
